The headboard, shaped like flickering tongues of fire, invokes not only the flames of desire but the heat of intimacy, the slow burn of lust that can both excite and consume. The black, sleek form of the bed contrasts sharply with the wild, untamable shape of the headboard, creating a tension between control and surrender.
